The LOFT
Both the Loft and Peter House Cottage are sympathetic conversions of what was once a traditional Cumbrian barn. Attached to the original 17th century farm house, the Loft is what some would refer to as an 'upside-down house' as the living area has been placed upstairs to benefit from the views whilst the bedrooms are on the ground floor.
Situated on a working farm, the Loft is absolutely perfect for those that like to avoid the hub-bub of town or village properties and prefer the tranquility of a truly proper rural setting.
Ramble, walk or explore from the doorstep or use as an ideal base to explore both the well-known and less crowded parts of the stunning Lake District.
A friendly welcome, as well as some lovely home-baked treats, await you upon arrival.

The Loft
Small steps lead down from the entrance hallway to the two bedrooms - one double and one twin. The twin beds can be made up into a superking - please let us know if this is required when booking or before arrival.
The double bedroom has double aspect windows with lovely views. The twin bedroom is light, airy and also benefits from having a separate washbasin.
The bathroom with bath and shower over is situated off the small hallway.
Steps lead up to the large open plan living area with beams and magnificent views over the surrounding farmland and fells.
The kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave and fridge. The sitting area has a sofa, comfortable chairs, TV with DVD player and coal effect electric fire. The separate dining area has a table and chairs for 4 people.
Parking is by the cottage and there is a bench here for sitting out with colourful flowers in pots. Over the yard is a small enclosed garden, shared with visitors staying at Peter House Cottage.
