Peter House Cottage – Sleeps 5

Peter House Cottage sits at the top of the farmyard just across from a small garden that it shares with Pembroke Cottage. There’s plenty of parking space for your car right outside so it’s very convenient for unpacking and starting your holiday straight away.

Converted from a seventeenth century barn there are many beamed ceilings which adds greatly to the character. The overall decor is that of a relaxing traditional Cumbrian cottage with a thoroughly modern, newly fitted, kitchen.

If you like to holiday at the times of year when it can be a little chilly outside then there is a glorious coal fire in the open-plan living room for you to snuggle around – coal and wood are provided.

Cottage Layout

The porch at Peter House Farm Cottage leads into the kitchen area with modern fitted units, electric cooker, microwave and fridge. The living area has a comfortable seating area, open fire, TV and DVD Player. Leading from the kitchen area is the dining room with seating for five.

The Cottage has one double bedroom and one with both a double and a single bed in – the family room.

A door and small steps lead down to the lovely beamed double bedroom with another small stairway, from the dining area, leading to the spacious family beamed bedroom with double bed, single bed and washbasin. There are lovely views to the fells from the double aspect windows. There is also a bathroom here with bath and electric shower over.

Outside there is a seating area with table, chairs and flowers in pots. Over the yard is a small enclosed garden, shared with people staying at Pembroke Cottage. Parking for two cars is at the front of the cottage.
